Observations are documents that individuals or organizations can upload to “green” projects on the MASE portal to highlight critical issues that should be addressed in each proposal.
The approach followed here resembles Aesop’s fable “The Wolf and the Lamb”: Although this process is presented as an opportunity for citizens to actively participate in decision-making, all the odds seem to favor the wolf.
It might still be worth participating in this process because:
- At the very least, it sends a clear message of how strongly communities oppose this colonization process.
- Many relevant points are raised through observations, drawing a clear line between those who support and those who resist these projects.
- Even causing an additional delay might help — hopefully long enough for the NRRP funds to be exhausted and for someone to finally present the bill to the taxpayers.
The current map shows the number of observations submitted by individuals for each project, represented by circles of proportional size.
